The Happening Journey

From figuring it out to the delayed spark of design in my life

1994-2012

The Beginning of Diversity

Born in educational hub of India, my childhood was marked by constant movement as my family relocated across six states due to my father's profession. Each new environment brought a rich tapestry of cultures, languages, and cuisines, shaping my adaptability and fostering a deep appreciation for diversity.

2013-2017

Sparkling Creativity

Enrolling in the IT branch at IIIT Bhubaneswar, I initially followed my brother's path without a clear direction towards design. However, my college years became a period of profound discovery and exploration. One project, the "1000 Eyes Project" with the Photogeek Club, stands out as a pivotal moment in my journey into both development and design.

The project aimed to capture the essence of our college community by photographing the eyes of a thousand students and professors and presenting them in a visually captivating format resembling one large eye. Through "1000 Eyes," I experienced the impact of creating something at a scale beyond my imagination for the first time.

Simultaneously, my interest in web design and development projects grew. I particularly enjoyed the design aspect, as I was highly inclined to the creative side, which significantly boosted my confidence and fostered my learning journey in both development and design. These projects not only honed my technical skills but also taught me valuable lessons in collaboration, problem-solving, and user experience design.

The "1000 Eyes Project" not only resonated deeply with participants but also fueled my passion for blending creativity with technology, setting the stage for my future endeavors in IT, development, and design.

2018-2022

Transition to Design

I navigated a transformative journey from engineering to design within an MNC. Initially unaware of the career possibilities in design, I began my corporate career as an engineer. However, my path soon diverged as I discovered a passion for design.

As a fresher, I was fortunate to delve into various aspects of design, including prototyping and wireframing, from the outset, with ample opportunities to learn and grow.

Through my dual immersion in both development and design, I eventually learned about the potential of a career in UX design. Immediately seizing the opportunity, I made a decisive transition into UX design. This shift ignited a significant change in my career trajectory.

In my role, I designed numerous improvements across projects, optimizing processes, enhancing product efficiency, and saving product completion time.

2023-Present

Embracing New Challenges

Seeking new challenges and opportunities for growth, I made a strategic move to a new company. Here, I collaborated with diverse clients, continuously refining my design skills and expanding my professional network. Through meticulous attention to detail and a deep understanding of user needs, I've made significant contributions to two key clients. Additionally, I engage in mentorship programs, guiding aspiring designers in navigating the intricacies of UX and helping several designers secure their first job in the industry.

Future Goals

My vision extends beyond personal growth; I aspire to become a trusted UX leader, capable of driving innovation and fostering collaboration within the field. To achieve this, I remain committed to continuous learning, developing robust leadership qualities, fostering strategic partnerships, and pushing the boundaries of user-centered design solutions.
